Connor Wood Set to Perform Homecoming Comedy Show at CU Boulder on October 29

Los Angeles-based comedian, writer, and creator Connor Wood is bringing his unique brand of humor to the University of Colorado Boulder for a Homecoming comedy show on Wednesday, October 29. The event will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Glenn Miller Ballroom of the University Memorial Center (UMC), with doors opening at 7 p.m.

Tickets are required for entry. CU Boulder students can attend for free by presenting their Buff OneCard, while tickets for the public cost $10. Once inside, attendees will receive wristbands, which must be worn throughout the event. Importantly, no re-entry will be permitted — if you leave the venue after entering, you won’t be allowed back in.

Best known online as @fibulaa on TikTok, Wood has gained a loyal following for his sharp wit, relatable humor, and engaging personality. Originally from Austin, Texas, he rose to fame through a series of viral sketches and commentary videos exploring everyday chaos, identity, and the quirks of internet life. His content resonates with audiences for its balance of humor and authenticity, turning ordinary experiences into laugh-out-loud reflections on modern culture.

Wood co-hosts the popular podcast Brooke and Connor Make a Podcast alongside Brooke Averick, where their spontaneous banter and comedic chemistry have made the show a fan favorite. Off the mic, he has taken his digital success to the stage with his touring live show “Fib & Friends,” which has consistently sold out venues nationwide. His comedy blends self-awareness, vulnerability, and sharp timing — a combination that has earned praise from outlets such as GQ, VICE, People, and Our Era Magazine, all of which have recognized him as one of the most distinctive new voices in comedy.

This Boulder performance is part of Wood’s growing list of live appearances across the country, offering fans a chance to see him in person. According to the Program Council’s event calendar, the show will also feature Maggie Winters as the opener, setting the stage for an evening packed with laughter.

The event comes with some important guidelines. Wristbands will be distributed upon entry and are required for access. Expect airport-style security — all attendees and belongings are subject to screening. Bags larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″ will not be permitted, and even smaller bags may be searched. The venue strictly prohibits skateboards, weapons (including concealed carry), alcohol, illegal drugs, professional photography or videography equipment, and glass or metal water bottles. Attendees are encouraged to bring empty plastic bottles or factory-sealed, non-alcoholic beverages in plastic containers. Conveniently, water refill stations will be available inside the venue.

The event is organized by Program Council — a student-run department under the Center for Student Involvement. Entirely funded by student fees allocated through the CU Student Government (CUSG), Program Council is known for providing high-quality, affordable entertainment to the Boulder campus community, ranging from concerts to comedy nights and film screenings.

Whether you’re a long-time fan of Connor Wood’s online humor or simply looking for a good laugh during Homecoming week, this event promises a night of smart, energetic comedy that reflects the best of CU Boulder’s lively student culture.
