Comedian Leanne Morgan is set to make audiences laugh again with her brand-new Netflix special Unspeakable Things, premiering November 4, 2025. This one-hour special marks her second Netflix stand-up show, following the success of her 2023 hit I’m Every Woman, which remains Netflix’s most-viewed stand-up special by a female comedian worldwide.
Directed by Manny Rodriguez, Unspeakable Things promises Morgan’s signature Southern humor, relatable storytelling, and a candid look at life as a mother, wife, and rising star in her 60s. The Tennessee-born comedian dives into topics like parenting struggles, marriage advice, trying CBD for the first (and last) time, and even the less glamorous realities of fame and family vacations. Morgan has often joked that she draws her material straight from her everyday life, and this special appears to be no exception.
The special was filmed in June 2025 in Wilmington, South Carolina, and serves as part of Morgan’s new two-special deal with Netflix. Morgan herself, along with Judi Marmel and Emily Noonan, serve as executive producers on the project.

The sitcom, co-created by Morgan, Chuck Lorre, and Susan McMartin, tells the story of Leanne Murphy, a grandmother whose husband of 33 years leaves her for another woman. Despite the fictional heartbreak, the show is infused with the warmth and humor that fans associate with Morgan’s comedy. The cast includes Kristen Johnston, Celia Weston, Blake Clark, Ryan Stiles, Graham Rogers, and Hannah Pilkes. The series debuted strongly, landing in Netflix’s Global Top 10 within its first week.
In September 2025, Netflix confirmed that Leanne has been renewed for a second season, following strong viewership numbers—reportedly over 1.3 billion minutes streamed in just two weeks. Morgan described working with Lorre, the creator of The Big Bang Theory and Mom, as a “miracle and a blessing,” saying she still couldn’t believe such success had come at this stage in her life.
