What the event offers
The evening starts with a social hour from 6:30–7:30 p.m., complete with appetizers and a Basket Raffle. After that, the comedians take the stage for a night of clean, family-friendly comedy that fits perfectly with the nonprofit’s focus on children’s health and positivity. Each ticket includes one free pour at the brewery, and food trucks will be on-site for anyone craving an extra bite. Raffle tickets are priced at $5 each or 5 for $20, with prizes awarded after the comedy sets.
The comedians and hosts
The headliner this year is Trevor Anderson, a Wisconsin-born, Minneapolis-based comedian known for his quick wit and relatable humor about family life and everyday situations. With over a decade of experience, Anderson has performed at major festivals including the 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival, SnoJam Comedy Festival, and the Aspen Comedy Festival, where he won the Rooftop Comedy College Competition.
The opening act is Grant Winkels, a Minneapolis comic who began as a musician before finding his comedic voice. He’s a producer for the 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival, a regular performer at Acme Comedy Company, and the host of the Sisyphus Brewing Open Mic. Winkels also co-hosts a popular podcast called “We Cool?”, where listeners share anonymous apologies.
This year’s event will be emceed by David Legault and Karen Legault, adding a welcoming local touch to the night’s festivities.
Why it matters
Let’s Smile, Inc. was founded in 2013 to address the oral-health disparities faced by children and teens in southern Minnesota. The nonprofit provides no-cost preventive dental care and oral-health education to kids up to age 19, primarily serving families on Minnesota Health Care Plans (MA, South Country Health Alliance, Blue Plus, UCare) or those who are uninsured. The organization intentionally avoids serving privately insured families so that limited resources go to those most in need.
Through school-based dental programs across Steele, Waseca, Rice, Dodge, Olmsted, and Le Sueur counties, Let’s Smile brings professional dental care directly to schools—removing barriers such as cost, transportation, and missed work for parents. These programs provide screenings, cleanings, fluoride varnishes, sealants, oral-health lessons, and free “Smile Kits” containing toothbrushes, toothpaste, and floss.
Ticketing and goals
Tickets are $50 each, and attendance is capped at around 100 guests due to the brewery’s event-space capacity, ensuring a cozy and friendly atmosphere.
All proceeds from the evening will support Let’s Smile’s mission of making dental care accessible to every child in southern Minnesota. By joining in for an evening of laughter, attendees aren’t just enjoying great comedy—they’re helping local kids keep their smiles bright and healthy.
