Flint Farmers’ Market Celebrates the Final Edition of 10 Years of Comedy Night
The Flint Farmers’ Market wrapped up its long-running Comedy Night tradition on Friday, November 28, 2025, marking the conclusion of a full decade of post-holiday laughter. The event took place in the evening as part of the Market’s annual effort to help the community “Laugh Off the Leftovers.”
The show capped off 10 years of Comedy Night at the Market, a milestone that highlighted how strongly Flint residents have supported this local entertainment series. The tradition brought people together every Black Friday season to enjoy humor in a relaxed and friendly setting.
Keith Mullaly, Owner of Sinclair Entertainment, reflected on the evolution of the event and its impact on Flint’s comedy scene. He emphasized that community enthusiasm played a major role in keeping the series alive for so long and noted how other venues, including local bars, were inspired to create their own comedy nights.
Mullaly explained that the supportive atmosphere around Flint’s comedy community helped smaller shows grow and attract new talent. He shared that the Market’s decade-long run was something he felt “blessed” to have been part of, especially seeing how it encouraged similar entertainment options across the area.
While this 2025 edition served as the final Comedy Night at the Farmers’ Market, it is not the end of comedy programming from Sinclair Entertainment. Mullaly confirmed that their focus is now shifting toward the Flint Comedy Fest, a larger comedy event held each February.
The Flint Comedy Fest takes place at the historic Capitol Theatre, a well-known downtown Flint venue with details available through event listings such as the Capitol Theatre’s official ticketing page:

According to Mullaly, concentrating on this festival allows them to scale up, bring in more performers, and create a bigger experience for comedy fans in the region. It represents an expansion of what they originally began at the Farmers’ Market.
The Flint Comedy Fest has been drawing increased attention in recent years and is positioned to serve as Flint’s primary annual comedy gathering. It typically features multiple comedians and broader programming than the Market’s single-night show.
Meanwhile, the Flint Farmers’ Market continues to operate as a major community hub offering food, vendors, and events throughout the year. More information about the Market and its event calendar can be found on the official website:

Though the Market’s Comedy Night series has officially wrapped, it leaves behind a legacy of community-driven entertainment and ten years of consistent holiday-weekend laughter. Many guests viewed the annual gathering as a lighthearted tradition after Thanksgiving, and this final edition honored that history.
The conclusion of the 10-year run also represents a transition toward broader, more ambitious comedy programming in Flint. By moving efforts to the Capitol Theatre in February, Sinclair Entertainment aims to deliver an upgraded comedy experience to the community.
Local comedians, longtime attendees, and supporters of the Market can look back at the series as both a memorable and influential part of Flint’s entertainment landscape. And while one chapter closes, the growth of the Flint Comedy Fest shows that the city’s enthusiasm for comedy is continuing in a bigger direction.
With this shift, Flint’s comedy scene enters a new era, driven by the same community spirit that helped Comedy Night at the Market thrive for a full decade.
