The Rye Arts Center is gearing up for one of its most anticipated annual events — Ladies Comedy Night, happening on November 6, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at its campus at 51 Milton Road in Rye, New York. Known for selling out year after year, this beloved community gathering brings together more than 250 women from Rye and neighboring towns for an evening filled with laughter, luxury, and local flair — all in support of the Center’s mission to make the arts accessible to everyone.

The event promises a full evening of entertainment and indulgence, starting with a Sushi & Sip Happy Hour, where guests can enjoy freshly rolled sushi, artisanal cheeses, curated wines and bubbles, and decadent small bites. Local businesses are also contributing to a lineup of luxury raffle prizes, featuring items and experiences from some of Rye’s favorite shops and brands.

The comedy portion of the night is what keeps attendees coming back year after year. Hosted by Kim Berns, a well-known stand-up comedian and radio/podcast personality, the show features an all-female comedy showcase with four powerhouse performers bringing humor, heart, and energy to the stage.

This year’s lineup includes:

  • Maureen Langan, the evening’s headliner, is an internationally recognized comedian and broadcaster who recently made waves as a semifinalist on America’s Got Talent (Season 18), earning a standing ovation and four “yeses.” Langan’s sharp wit and intelligent humor have also been featured on HBO, Gotham Live, and Dry Bar Comedy.
  • Olivia Barbulescu, a New York native known for her darkly comic storytelling, has performed on stages worldwide. She’s also the creator of Feral Woman, a Substack publication blending personal essays with observational humor.
  • Nancy O’Connor, a rising comedian from New York, recently won LOL NJ and is currently touring with Ladies of Laughter: Funny & Fabulous. Her relatable stories and quick wit have made her one to watch on the national comedy circuit.
  • Nancy Witter, an award-winning comedian, author, and motivational speaker, rounds out the lineup. A finalist on Nick at Nite’s Search for the Funniest Mom in America, Witter has appeared on The Rachael Ray Show and NickMom Night Out, bringing her seasoned perspective and humor to audiences across the country.

According to the official Rye Arts Center website, the night is more than just a comedy showcase — it’s a fundraising event that directly benefits the Center’s arts education programs and scholarships. Proceeds help ensure that no student is ever turned away due to financial constraints, keeping creativity and expression at the heart of the community.

A recent press release by ArtsWestchester highlighted the event as a “can’t-miss night of laughter and giving back,” underscoring how it blends the glamour of a night out with a meaningful cause. Tickets are priced at $185, which includes admission, food, drinks, and access to the show and raffle drawings.

Founded in 1960, The Rye Arts Center has grown into a cornerstone of the Westchester arts community, offering programs in visual, musical, and digital arts for all ages. Serving more than 35,000 residents across Westchester and lower Fairfield Counties, the Center continues to expand its impact through events like Ladies Comedy Night — combining community connection, laughter, and philanthropy in one memorable evening.
