South Florida is packed with comedy this December, offering everything from intimate open mics to major headliners across West Palm Beach, Delray Beach, Boca Raton, Deerfield, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami. Whether you’re planning a date night, a guys’ outing, a bachelorette trip, or flying solo, there’s no shortage of ways to catch a good laugh.

West Palm Beach kicks off with Jeremy Piven performing at the Kravis Center on December 5–6, bringing the fast-talking charm that made him famous as Ari Gold from Entourage. Local options include Comedy & Cocktails at 123 Datura on December 2, and a Don’t Tell Comedy pop-up show on December 13, known for its secret lineups and surprise venues announced the day of the show through the official website Don’t Tell Comedy. Zen Bar & Grill continues its All Arts Open Mic Comedy & Karaoke every Thursday.

Delray Beach has its Stand-Up Comedy Series at The Arts Garage on December 5, plus multiple improv nights with the Sick Puppies Comedy Improv Show on December 6, 12, 20, and 27 at The Doghouse Theater. Don’t Tell Comedy hosts two more secret shows on December 12 and December 27, keeping the mystery alive for fans looking for something different.

Boca Raton stays busy with All Arts Open Mic Night returning to The Boca Black Box on December 4 and 18, followed by Nick Giasullo performing there on December 5–6. The Comedy Attic at Boca Barrel of Monks features Captivated Comedy on December 6, with Riff Roulette on December 11, where comedians riff with material created from live audience suggestions. Pauly Shore headlines The Boca Black Box on December 12–13, bringing decades of cult-favorite comedy from MTV’s Totally Pauly to movies like Jury Duty, Bio-Dome, and Encino Man. The Have-Nots Comedy Show returns on December 26, a South Florida staple for over 15 years known for working with partners like Comedy Central, MTV, and Live Nation. Jay Moreno performs on December 27, and Sadman Comedy Cafe hosts weekly Tuesday open mics and Flip Schultz on December 31.

Deerfield and Pompano comedy lovers can hit Comedy Night at The Legends Tavern on December 12, another production from Captivated Comedy.

Fort Lauderdale keeps things lively with a weekly Secret Comedy Show every Wednesday at Bokampers, thanks to Gold Coast Comedy. Don’t Tell Comedy returns for more secret shows on December 5 and December 27. Larger acts take over the Ft. Lauderdale Improv, starting with Gianmarco Soresi from December 4–6, followed by Adam Carolla on December 11 and 14, known for Loveline, The Man Show, and his long-running podcast. The Winter Comedy Festival hits the venue on December 16 headlined by Seeta the Comic, bringing clean Indian humor mixed with sharp observational jokes. Closing out the year, Marlon Wayans performs December 26–31, riding the success of his Amazon Prime special Good Grief, which hit number one in June 2024.

Miami rounds out the month with Josh Johnson at the Miami Improv from December 5–7, a rising star recently praised by WIRED and known for his role as a rotating host and correspondent on The Daily Show. El Miami Roast follows on December 10, then Gary Owen performs from December 18–20. Fans of live gaming and comedy can check out Dunces & Dragons LIVE! on December 27, billed as Florida’s only live Dungeons & Dragons show. Finally, Zainab Johnson closes out the month from December 26–30, bringing a unique perspective shaped by her Harlem upbringing and experience as one of thirteen siblings in a Black Muslim family.
