Lewis Hamilton Plans TV Comedy Show After Finding Inspiration in Quentin Tarantino

Seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton is gearing up for his next big project — a television comedy series. After making his mark in motorsport and film production, Hamilton is ready to explore a lighter and more creative side of storytelling through his production company, Dawn Apollo Films, which he founded in 2022.

Speaking in an interview with Ferrari Magazine, Hamilton revealed that his production team is already in the planning stages of developing a comedy show. “We have some ideas. I’m in the process of figuring it out but storytelling is something I’m really passionate about,” he shared. He also noted that he wants to bring inspirational stories to audiences, explaining, “More than ever, we need inspirational stories out there, given the dark times we live in. I love comedy and I’ve got a particular idea for a television show.”

Hamilton’s push into television comes after his experience as an executive producer on the blockbuster F1 movie, which was released in June 2025. The film, directed by Joseph Kosinski and starring Brad Pitt, had a massive $300 million budget and went on to gross $629.5 million worldwide, making it one of the most expensive yet successful racing films ever produced. Hamilton’s company, Dawn Apollo Films, played a crucial role in shaping the movie’s authenticity, with the driver ensuring the portrayal of racing culture stayed true to reality.

Following the success of F1: The Movie, Hamilton says he’s been receiving a flood of new opportunities. “I’m working on a couple of animation movie ideas, and we’re getting sent so much stuff since the F1 movie happened, it’s crazy,” he said in an interview reported by Chortle. This influx of offers has encouraged him to focus carefully on what projects his company takes on next.

However, Hamilton has made it clear that Dawn Apollo Films won’t be producing content just for the sake of it. He emphasized that he’s following a “quality over quantity” philosophy, citing Quentin Tarantino as a key influence. “It’s not about doing lots and lots of projects; it’s more like Quentin Tarantino does it — quality rather than quantity,” Hamilton explained. The F1 star admires how Tarantino takes time between films to ensure each one has a unique voice and purpose, and he hopes to do the same with his own creative ventures.

While details about Hamilton’s TV comedy remain under wraps — including its title, network, cast, and production timeline — the direction is clear: he wants to produce content that uplifts and entertains. It’s unknown whether the comedy will have anything to do with the world of motorsport, but given Hamilton’s recent track record, fans can expect something fresh and unexpected.

Hamilton’s latest move signals how deeply he’s investing in the entertainment industry, expanding his brand beyond racing and into filmmaking, animation, and now television. His growing portfolio reflects a thoughtful approach to creativity, one that aims to balance inspiration with humor — and that’s something audiences everywhere could use a bit more of right now.

For now, the racing legend seems content to explore new creative roads — this time, with laughter leading the way.
